Honey barbecue is calling our name! Try this Honey Barbecue Ribs recipe!

What you need:

  • Applewood charcoal
  • Barbecue sauce
  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 2 Tbsp cane sugar
  • 2 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Hamburger butter buns
  • Pickle chips

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in small bowl.
  2. Remove membrane from inside of ribs. Liberally sprinkle mixture onto both sides of ribs and pat into surface to adhere.
  3. Prep grill with apple wood charcoal and push coals to one side. Place tray or pan beside coals, to catch any meat drippings. Fill pan with ½ inch of water.
  4. Place ribs on grill rack over drip pan, close lid and let ribs bake for 6 hours at 225 degrees.
  5. Drizzle and cover with barbecue sauce, then continue cooking for another hour.
  6. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 15 minutes.
  7. Place buns face down onto grill above coals for 15 seconds to toast.
  8. Slide bones out of tender rib meat (they should come out easily) and slice into bun-sized squares.
  9. To assemble, spread barbecue sauce on bottom bun. Add square of rib meat. Add pickles (we prefer ones with a little sweetness) and enjoy the saucy goodness!
